I like donuts. Sometimes too much.
Given the state of things, I thought it might be a good idea to actually develop skills that might prove useful in a post-AI society. That means that any skills I develop should fall into one of three categories:
- Taking care of people
- Fixing things people need
- Providing food for people
I'm not a doctor or nurse, and don't do well with needles.
I know the basics of maintaining a car, and have even replaced an alternator or brake master cylinder a time or two, but that's about it. I don't know how to weld, and unless the TV runs on vacuum tubes, I'm unable to help there either.
But I can cook. I've got about 10-15 good meals in my back pocket, and enjoy baking the occasional pie. I can also make donuts. Simple ones. But they make me and my family happy.
So, I thought I could get better at making them. And I thought that since my family enjoys them, maybe others might enjoy them, too.
And that's why I'm here. Trying to provide something that people might need. Or want.
